Alyssa waited until Steven fell asleep to go make the phone calls she promised him she would make.
She'd tried Isla but no beans. She found Emily's number in the phone and half hoped to get an answer. Half feeling awkward, Alyssa waited until the phone connected.

Emily looked at the caller ID on her phone and shook her head, she figured her brother was calling to check in and make sure her and her mother were getting along ok. She didn't give him a chance to speak, "Yes Steven, We're fine. Mother and I were just in the garden pulling weeds, at least I hope I was pulling weeds... gardening never was my thing, but it seems to make Mum happy." Alyssa Zorin |

"Steven asked me to call you to make sure someone was with your mom." Alyssa knew she had a lot of explaining to do. "Before you ask my name's Alyssa I'm a friend of Steven's. He was admitted to the ER. He's resting and he's going to be alright. He was in a vehicle accident, he's got at worst a few broken bones." Alyssa wasnt really good with people. "I'm not a nurse I can't explain it as much as the doctors and stuff can..." How was she supposed to explain this to a sister of the man she wasn't even certain where they stood.

When Emily heard a woman's voice on the other end of the phone she was shocked to say the least. "You are definitely not Steven, and uhm I've been with Mom for the past couple hours. She was getting ready to ask the woman who she was when her question was answered before she could ask it. She nodded her head as if the woman could see her when she introduced herself, but almost dropped the phone when she went on to explain that her brother was in the ER "What do you mean he's been admitted to the ER? What's going on with him." She couldn't help but smile when the woman said she couldn't really explain it, "Thanks for calling, can you tell me which doctor is treating him? "No, I just thought you were more likely to answer his number than an unknown number." She justified her reason for using the man's phone. Even with Steven's permission it had been kind of awkward.
"There was a vehicle collision with his ambulance. He's more worried about everyone else." She reasoned.
Then there was the whole which doctor was treating him. Alyssa had a really good memory. "Dr. Sofia Austin I believe." She also rambled off the nurses' names. "He's in room 304, if you need that information." Alyssa added. "If you need anything else ill text you my number. I'm gonna stay up here for a while."

When Alyssa said that Steven was more worried about everyone else Emily couldn't help but laugh, "He always is... Please let him know that I will talk to Isla and I've got everything taken care of with Mom and as soon as I can get someone over here to sit with her I'll be by." Emily listened to the names Alyssa was listing off, making a mental note on who she needed to call. "Room 304, great. I'm gonna make a few phone calls, you'll be able to stay as long as you like and if anyone gives you any trouble just call me and I'll take care of it. Thanks for taking care of him, I appreciate it.
